Learn to Play/Learn to Skate
The Learn-to-Play / Continue-to-Play programs are designed for girls new to hockey. Girls will be introduced to hockey and skating skills in a structured environment. Hockey equipment is available for rental or purchase.
Ages
The age range for CTP/LTP is 4 years old and up.
When
Dates and times: The Winter session will run for 7 weeks every Friday.
1/23 - 7pm - USA Rink
1/30 - 5:50pm - Plager Rink
2/6 - 6:40pm - USA Rink
2/13 - 5:50pm - Plager Rink
2/20 - 5:50pm - Plager Rink
2/27 - 5:50pm - Plager Rink
Where
All sessions are at our 4 rink Home Arena, Centene Community Ice Center - Sessions could be held on the USA, NHL, Plager or Barn Rinks
Practices
Weekly sessions are 1 hour long, split into groups of like skilled players.
The goal for our 6u and 8u (2017-2021) players is to move you onto a Lady Cyclones team by the end of the LTP session.

January 2026 LTP
Our Learn to Play program is designed for girls completely new to hockey or have just completed a Learn to Play program. Players will be placed in groups on the ice based on skill and experience so they can develop at their own pace. The goal of Learn to Play is to develop basic skating and hockey skills in a fun environment to get players ready to join a Lady Cyclones Hockey Team!
